ME/CFS (myalgic Enceph...) Trying Fecal trans

Nearing 4 years since hospitalized for MRSA with IV antibiotics of many kinds. Since then, I have never been the same (like many of you) with immune system shot and crushing symptoms like Myalgic Encephalomilitis (AKA Chronic fatige Immune dysfunction syndrome). Still batteling hard.

I have read studies that show that MRSA and MSSA can hyjack immune system turning it against itself and allowing the bacteria to survive much easier. This effect can be long term. ALso the antibiotics affect negatively our immune systems as well and that can also be permanent. Lastly the antibiotics cause gut dysbiosis destroying our healthy beneficial bacteria in our GI tract execerbating our issues long term. I am considering Fecal microbiota transplant. I have equipment at home to create triple encapsulated probiotics from a healthy stool donor. I am talking about using a centrifuge and more to ensure proper delivery into my gut. I have been researching this for nearly 1.5 years. Many have reported near to full recovery from such a venture. Some who only perform it via enema, my plan is to swallow pills meant to disolve only when reaching lower intestines. ** FDA has only approved FMT for positive C.Diff infections. It is not against the law to perform on yourself though for now. Please be careful as this is highly controversial. Doctors can still be consulted to test donor feces, just cannot perform the procedure. If you would like more info on this, go to Openbiome.org**

My question is has anyone here with post MRSA issues ever try this? If you have, what were your results? If you had poor results, did you possibly error in your procedure. Did anyone get worse after such a venture? For me, I am willing to risk for the chance of getting my life back. Thank you all for giving me courage and hope, and for helping me to know I am no crazy.

Hello again, David -

I am truly sorry you have gone through what you have and I hope things get better for you.

My personal philosophy is simple; if it works, do it.

Back in 2005 when I had severe diarrhea for three weeks due to food poisoning, I crushed a small clove of a mild to medium flavored garlic, let it set a few minutes and then mixed it with warm water to fill a hot water bottle enema setup and strained out all the particulate matter and administered it while lying on my back in a bathtub and rolling around as much as I could to coat every part of my colon and after about 10 minutes I expelled it into the toilet

I immediately took a probiotic, acidophilus, and my diarrhea stopped immediately and three days later normal bowel movement returned and have been good ever since. My idea was to kill off all of the bacteria, good and bad alike and restore only the good and it worked for me. Others may not get the same results.

I hope your situation works out well for you.
