I’m sorry for any inconvenience this may be causing.

All posts are not lost. I’m aware this is a concern for some of you. I am able to access recent posts by typing topic name in search box. As well, topics/posts are queuing on my administration access page… problem is topics/posts are not queuing on forum index page. When someone attempts to comment/submit post, topic seems to disappear. Although as I mentioned above, I am able to see everything as always.

Hi All,
I am now having my 3rd bout of impetigo in a year. told by a doctor this was caused by
Staph. Is anyone here familiar with this? I tried the crushed raw garlic twice a day for 3
days when it was just a pencil eraser size.. it is now the size of a quarter. had an RX of
bactroban for the last round that did nothing, and a 7 day course of bactrim which also
did nothing. could someone shed some light on why these keep happening. or a remedie
that may work

mrsa in aorta

I developed mrsa after open heart surgery. A week after the surgery I was released back home only to return with stabbing pain and difficulty in breathing. I was diagnosed with mrsa and had surgery that day to relieve the pressure around my heart. I was put on Cubicin because my mrsa was resistant to Vanco. That was may of 2008, since then I have had several surgeries to debride the area and also to remove the wires holding my sternum together. Also, every time that I finish a course of antibiotics the mrsa is back within a month, usually in my chest area. In March of this year I went to the ER with stabbing pain under my left armpit, it was an aortic anurism and I had to have open heart surgery to correct it. They found mrsa inside my aorta that didnt show up on any scans previously.About a month after this surgery I felt the same pain and again went into the hospital to find out that I had a second anurism just below where the first one was. They sent me to the Cleveland Clinic to ... read more

my brother was admitted to the hospital tonight for a gaping hole in his side filled with pus and blood.it started out looking like an insect bite.now it is swelled up and the size of a softball.they told him its cellulitis and he is on intravenous antibiotics.the thing is that me and my boyfriend have these abscesses but not nearly as bad as the one my brother has.he plays football and the spot of the lesion is where the strap for his pads go.Im so confused.did me or my boyfriend somehow cause this?or was it something from the locker room?my boyfriends brother has it and 2 other guys that they train with.(they are mma fighters)my last case of abscesses was one on my butt and one on my lower leg.they both cleared up fast but now i have a horrible rash all over my body.i went to the doc and got on antibiotics but my boyfriend hates doctors and he probably wont go.does that mean that if i get healed he can give it back to me?we think its staph.i just need to know if anyone has an opin... read more

I was diagnosed with MRSA about a year and a half ago. I contracted it while having a simple hernia surgery. I started having drainage from the surgery site and ended up in the emergency room. The docotors told us if we would have waited 24hrs later I would have died. I was in the hospital for 10dys.I was put on IV's and had two diffrent antibiotics pumped through me every 1/2 hour. I had to go in and have the wound packed until it healed from the inside out.The MRSA erupted inside and out leaving a great deal of damage. I now have an entrapped nerve as well. I am always tired, have no stamina, joint pain, headaches and feel horrible all the time. I have never had health problems before. The surgery site for the hernia had a mesh put in and that has never been removed. I am wondering if I should be concerned about this? I am the mother of two teenage kids and a 4yr old. I feel terrible because I have been so sick. I am not the mom I used to be. I have taken FMLA from work and do not kn... read more

Please help with this. I am getting more confused with being on antibiotics than ever.I was just reading what I should not be eating while taking Zyvox and it says not to have yogurt or acidophilus and I have been downing yogurt everyday along with probiotics.I thought when you take antibiotics you should have these in your systems to help with good bacteria build up.I am on Zyvox now and have been experiencing slight sharp pains in lower to mid abdominal right side and waiting for IDC to call me about this. And is it true MRSA loves protein and thrives in it?What am I suppose to eat?I eat veggies and eggs everyday.IDC just called and told me to go to a Urgent Care facility.LOL same crap everytime.Doctors are worthless.Someone replied to my last post and said it could be worse.I am on one of two drugs that I can take Zyvox, the other is IV cubicin, both I cannot afford.I have lost 25 lbs and can barely function.Surgeries, lancing of lesions, drugs that feel like I'm being poisoned,no ... read more

I had MRSA in 2012 and was wondering if you can have joint pain in like your hands from this. I was so sick with MRSA in the hospital for a week and notice that my leg hurt so bad. I have to use a cane to walk now. The pain I have in my hands is like it hurts for about 3 days in one place and then it moves to another place and it is in my wrist real bad. It is chronic pain. I know this is has been 4 years ago but I feel like this has something to do with my pain. Thank you for anyone helping me with this.

Here is what works to hold down my MRSA attack

Hi, I thought I would put it all together in one place:
ONE: I make a wash using a clean plastic bucket full of water, several drops of tincture of iodine and 2 drops of tea tree oil. With this, I GENTLY wash my face with little pats MANY times a day. I bathe with it at night, also put some into my scalp. I keep that face cloth in the bucket. DO NOT put straight iodine on your body, no matter how desperate you are, it will burn your skin off. You must go slowly, gently, to inhibit the growth of the bacteria. Next: I make sure my urine pH is ALKALINE, which means a bit over pH 7. pH 7.36 is ideal for the human body. MRSA is acidic and loves an acidic body, so my job is to make my body an UNHAPPY HOME for the bacteria. If you cannot afford test strips, just buy a purple (also called red) cabbage, next to the regular cabbage. Boil some leaves and drain. That is your test solution. Purple cabbage makes a near perfect pH 7 solution. Now, put some into a clean paper cup. It l... read more

Frequent MRSA issues

In August of last year we were renting what we thought was a nice apartment. We
had continuous ac issues which eventually led to the unit leaking all over my
daughter's room. I decided to get down on my hands and knees and examine the
carpet, pull it back from the wall, and found black mold. Shortly after that I
developed 2 bumps under my armpits which I ignored for far to long. I also
wound up with a baseball size lump in my leg. Over Labor Day weekend I had to
be hospitalized for 3 days. I also had to pack the wound on my leg for close to 2
months, starting with 16 inches of tape and working my way down. Since then
I've had MRSA 3 more times. Three days ago I found another abscess under my
armpit. Why does this keep happening? I'm a fairly healthy person, not diabetic,
nor do I have any immune system disorders. I'm beyond frustrated, in over my
head with doctor bills. Unfortunately, I do tend to stress a lot! Is this causing it?

What’s Wrong with Hydrogen Peroxide…or Ozone?

The June 26th, 2006 issue of Time Magazine had a short article on MRSA, entitled “Surviving the New Killer Bug” It was well written and should bring public attention to the seriousness of this new epidemic. However, one part of it did leave me confused.

At the bottom of the article was a section entitled “What You Can Do”. The first suggestion was to avoid getting cuts and scrapes (OK). Next it advised: “Thoroughly clean even superficial wounds with soap and water” (Still OK) – THEN it stated, in bold blue letters: “Do not use hydrogen peroxide” (????) Why is that???
Does anyone have any idea why hydrogen peroxide is bad to use or why it should not be used on MRSA?

Also, do you have any opinions about the use of ozone? Another thread in this forum warned: “Ozone therapy is very dangerous and does not work”. I will assume that the author was speaking about ozone injections and/or ozone bagging in lieu of professional medical treatment.
I, personally, would not us... read more

So I was last here back in September with a couple of bad boils in
a hard to reach area. Thanks to the help of my husband I was able
to deal with those. I had impetigo on my face and mild break outs
on my arms for a couple of weeks afterward however.

After this I was free of any symptoms for about five months.
However, my husband was hospitalized beginning in January due to
complications from his lupus, and my stress levels went through
the roof. Every few days I will get what appears to be mosquito
bites on my arms or sometimes my ankles which will clear up and
then reappear in a different spot a few days later. I also had a
new boil a few weeks ago.

I am confirmed allergic to Augmentin, Bactrim, Clindamycin, and
Doxycycline. I don't know what to do to clear this up for good; I
did the garlic water every day for months and that apparently
didn't work. I did make sure that it was "good" garlic. I'm also
terrified of vancomycin- my husband just passe... read more

So I've had the skin infection going for
several months and I've had it cultured once
it came back only as staph epi. I read
also that stuff that they can get a toehold
and be very difficult to get rid of because
it's so good at Staying Alive usually it's a
problem with medical devices does anybody
have any information of studies about this
cited where this might be the case or an
explanation that it is in fact a colony of
staph Epi that is out of control on my
body??

The doctors don't listen to me when I tell
them it's nothing like I've ever seen or
experienced before I've had it on three
spots on my body it can heal and then reopen
and it reopens worse than before

I've lanced it that upsets them but it
didn't prove it I've taken antibiotics
cephalexin twice when I feel like I know,
(which helped and improved but did not kick
it) I need them which has upset them because
of some shooting and has brought back a

I almost died from CA-MRSA

This is no lie people. I got a bug bite and in three days I was in the hospital fighting to stay alive. I went into a shock like state... the pain in the area of the bite and 1 foot around the infection was horriable... it was so bad that they put me on Morphine for a week or more. Within 72 hours of being bit by a buy I had to have emergency surgery to remove a 7 inch by 7 inch by 3 inch deep of infected dead and decaying meat from my body. I spent 16 long, painful, miserable, isolated days in the hospital ... 4 of which were spent in ICU fighting for my life. People who came to see me at the hospital had to wear bio hazard gear... of course. After the 16th day in the hospital I was allowed to go home as long as I stay isolated from the general population for another 6 weeks. Now that means no one in or out of my house except my husband and home nurse. Believe it or not!

Now I have search the web and I have not came upon one case yet of a CA-MRSA infection reported in the USA th... read more

I'm so glad this forum exists!
I am a nursing student and I was just diagnosed with MRSA in a
wound even though I have had none of the symptoms. About 6 months
ago I got angular cheilitis (cracks in the side of my mouth). I
had never had it before but I did some research online and decided
to try healing it myself with neosporin as that had worked for
other people. It helped for a couple weeks but then the cracks
came back. I tried some other over the counter topicals but
nothing worked. Finally I went to a dermatologist who prescribed
alclometasone. It worked for a while but the cracks kept coming
back! About a week ago I went to my family Dr to see if a vitamin
deficiency was to blame. The Dr did a culture on my mouth and it
came back positive for MRSA. Dr prescribed a generic Bactrim to
take every 12 hours for 14 days.

I hope the antibiotics will be able to eradicate the MRSA. After I
finish treatment I need to have a culture taken from my nose to b... read more

I've been struggling with these reoccurring boils for 6 months.
The latest boil has appeared on my genitals (the labia). It's not
as severe as the first boil that entered the bloodstream, although
it did require minor, immediate surgery. I'm posting wound care
stuff that seems to help.

https://www.cdc.gov/mrsa/ There's a lot of trusted good
information here. If you go to the gym read about Coaches and
Athletic Directors. It's unlikely that your gym/school is
following guidelines. When you workout, you sweat and create the
ideal environment for MRSA growth.

Take a shower after you exercise, including yoga. Wash your gym
clothes after every use. Don't even use a gym bag. Anything less
is poor hygiene.

Keep your wounds covered. Mine are large and bleed for a month,
this is an artform. After a while, the glue on tape degrades the
skin, even sensitive tape.

Stretch-Net this is a neat product that goes on like a sock and
doesn't require tape... read more

Hello :) Super excited I found this forum!! I want to thank
everyone here for all the time & effort they put into this.
It really has made a difference in peoples lives. This forum has
really given me hope & has really restored some of the faith that
I had lost in humanity. THANK YOU <3

So my mother has HA-MRSA I think thats right LOL. She got it from
the hospital. They had to put some camera up her nose to look at
her throat & its been down hill from there.
I have been looking online trying to buy some garlic & some seeds
for her but I dont know what sites to trust. Most of anything
that comes up on the search looks super shady when I click on the
site. I dont know if they are legit & just cant afford a better
looking site or if its just shady sites.
I have tried looking through the posts on here but theres just so
many of them & I get side tracked reading everybody's stories,
that I never end up finding what im looking for. So I decided I
