I had mssa 4 years ago from a chillies
surgery and now I'm wanting to get a
tattoo. Has anyone had the same
experience. If you got a tattoo did you
get a infection? I really want this but
want to make sure I make the right
decision.

Sorry... I've been trying to get this fixed for quite a while now. Thanks Bob, you're probably right about date formats. Janice I'll forward your post to Rob in UK. For years there were no problems with dates logging correctly, not exactly sure why for the last couple of years it has become a problem 24653

the dates on the postings can't be right.. some of them say December 2016 which has not even gotten here yet.. why are the dates not correct when people are leaving in formation 24624

My guess is that the sorting in date order uses the European convention and that interprets American format incorrectly. If it says something was posted October 8, 2016, then it was written ... read more

Recently I had an outbreak of MRSA after I got back from a Florida beach trip
The infection entered my wounds from paces I had peeled off from severe
sunburn. I had the worst boils that oozed puss. It was spread to my buttocks
and lower back. It was painful. I went to the doctor and got prescribed
antibiotics and they gave me ointment for the infected areas. but they never
sent anything to be tested because it was too expensive for my mom. They
started to heal and have gotten very small, almost gone and some are gone.
But the past few days I have been experiencing symptoms such loss of
appetite, coughing, cold chills, shaking, ramdomly lose hearing in one ear,
diarrhea and I get really hot easily. Also I have coughed up green mucus.
Should I be worried that this has something to do with MRSA? Ive done
research and read that it can get into your bloodstream. I'm only 18 and this is
really scaring me.

bartholin cyst caused by MRSA?

I had severe impetigo on my face caused by MRSA. The only antibiotics
that worked were Vancomysin and Zyvox. I ended the Zyvox last week and
now I have a cyst on my Labia. My doctor told me it wasn't related to
the MRSA and said it may be a bartholin cyst. I think it IS related to
the MRSA. I have never been sexually active or had any sort of gyno
problems before. Could you offer some advice? I don't want to brush it
off if it may get worse.

My spouse visited a siblings house recently & saw the antibiotic in the fridge. Asked the sibling about it & sibling replied, "Oh, yeah, I think the kids have MRSA again." Well the sibling KNEW but didn't tell my spouse NOT to come over with our kids for a playdate. Now, my spouse has a lesion on the calf--afraid it might be MRSA. The sibling came over to our house for Easter with the infected children--still NOT telling anyone about the MRSA. (My spouse had told me just the day before about the previous incident) R my kids safe if the MRSA kids have been on antibiotic? What does my spouse need to do--get a culture of the wound? (We have no health ins.) Can I sue my spouse's sibling for not disclosing that the MRSA kids were sick & subjecting my family to an infectious disease? I think it is morally & ethnically WRONG!

I broke 2 bones in my ankle in December 2014, I had a plate and 3
screws put in on Christmas Eve; 4 weeks later I had to have another
surgery because the plate bent and screws were loose. This time he
put 2 plates and 12 screws in; 4 weeks later he found one of the
plates were fractured, but he wouldn't take it out. A couple of
months later I ended up with MRSA that started in that ankle, I was in
the hospital for 11 days and do not remember anything that went on, my
infectious disease doctor told me I almost died. I ended up on IV
Vancomycin and a wound vac on my ankle. I had 2 surgeries on my ankle
in May, 2 in October and they amputated my leg below my knee in
November. I was septic and the infection had gone all through my body
and blood, I was throwing clots of infection instead of blood clots.
I had repeat CT scans and everything was stable. To make a long story
short I had repeat CT scans in April and lymphoma was suspected, I
have had severa... read more

MRSA during Childbirth

My fiance and I just had our first child on October 7th. Besides for common allergies neither of us have had any medical issues. While in the hospital, our doctor induced my fiance by rupturing her membrane by hand and an IV drip of pitocin. By around 12:00-1:00pm she was fully dialated yet the contractions weren't powerfull enough to push my son further down the birth canal. After hours of attempting to push, the Dr decided on an emergency c-section. This was around 6pm.

I was originally able to sit next to my fiance in the Operating Room, but when she began to feel intense pain from the procedure, the Dr's determined that her epidural wasn't working properly, then they went to general and put her to sleep (during which time I was told to exit the room). My son was born at 6:52pm and I was elated to have him and put this stressful birthing experience behind us. Unfortunately, I wasn't out of the woods by any means.

We were able to leave the hospital on Saturday with my son (... read more

Google gourmet garlic to buy

If anyone is looking for natural garlic, you can Google gourmet garlic and you will get a list of hundreds of growers nationwide. It will help to learn the different kinds of garlic and how they are different. Some are mild, some are medium and some are hot to very hot. Hotter garlics usually have more allicin, the active result of crushed garlic. They all have something to say, learn from them.

My son at 15 years old had MRSA. He was in football - had an injury and then hospitalized for MRSA for a week. Ever since then he has been in out out of Psychiatric Hospitals. He stopped high school also at 15 years of age- everything changed.... Three days before 18th birthday - it was given the name schizophrenia. He is now almost 23 - on medication and disability. I have always wondered if MRSA could have been the cause. Is there studies, doctors, etc... that are researching link between MSRA and mental illness? ts_long@yahoo.com

MRSA and Psychological disorders

I am posting this question/story in hopes of finding anyone else with similar situations or answers. I have a life long friend, who was diagnosed with MRSA some three years ago. She has always been a fun loving person and good friend. She is only prescibed meds when she has an outbreak, and the location of the MRSA is in her nasal passage. Her outbreaks occur 3 times a year or more and last up to a month. It seems however that the past 6 months, her personalityhas completely changed. I would describe this change as vicious and nasty. The question I pose is "Are there any connections out there with MRSA spreading to the brain and causing neurological disorders, including complete personality change?" I fear my friend will never be the same since these aren't mood swings, but rather a complete transformation over a six month period.

Thanks to all,
Concerned Friend

This is part one of several parts explaining a whole different way of using garlic to affect a different past of the body.

For over six and a half years I have been writing in this forum about garlic water baths and how and why they help people feel relaxed and with a temporary sense of well-being from the effects of garlic water baths. The garlic water use was my own discovery when I treated myself for some bacterial infections and it worked really well. During a discussion over dinner one evening during the Garlic Is Life! Symposium in Tulsa, OK in 2001, I learned from Dr. David Mirelman, PhD and head of the Chemistry Dept. at Weitzmann Institute in Rehovot, Israel and one of the most knowledgeable people in the world on the chemistry of garlic, about how the allicin in crushed raw natural garlic kills bacteria on contact and how it all works.

That extremely enlightening dinner discussion sent my wife and I searching the internet and buying scholarly tomes on garlic che... read more

Hello,
I'm a new to this forum and seeking advice. About 2 weeks ago, my boy-friend developed an abscess in his arm and got tested for MRSA which I just found out was positive. He is currently taking the antibiotics prescribed and I understand that he will always be a carrier and he could pass it on to me. So what does it mean to me? Will I get it if I am intimate with him? I understand that close contact with a carrier, is how someone gets it, but I'm healthy, so will I get it?? What about intimacy? We have been together for 4 years and planning on getting married. What does this mean for him? He is in his late 20's and very active and healthy. Please help.

Recurring MRSA Infections

Since early 2004, my wife has had recurring MRSA outbreaks (probably about 4/5 times during that period) - mid2004, our son was born and he has had a positive MRSA id on a couple of absesses. My wife and I did the Bactrim and Rifampin treatment, and my son did a 10 day treatment of Bactrim. When it recently came back again in my wife and she saw the Infectious Disease specialist, she said that she only sees these recurring outbreaks in people with HIV, which in our case is virtually impossible. Do you think she is correct? Any advice is greatly appreciated as I am becoming very afraid. BTW, this website is a terrific resource and I really appreciate it.

Hi Guys, I got a small sliver in my thumb less than, 24 hours later and after
presenting red lines ran up my forearm and biceps and my shoulder pain is much
worse than broken neck., I was in hospital for a week of IV. Five months ago I had
a grueling 8 hour surgery for a massive broken neck, quad C1. Waiting for
cultures to see if in shoulder joint, uncomfortably close to my surgical site. I
broke my neck over a year ago and need to have oral surgery to remove my
broken teeth, I have had perhaps 20 oral abscesses, how dangerous is oral
surgery for me?
